At Her Mercy

Killing only people who deserve it is the code that separates killer-for-hire, Gray, from others. So when a hit on a dirty mayoral candidate is ordered, Gray sets out to get it done.

Except Colette Fairchild isn't what her file says she is. And Gray, for the first time ever, can't finish the job. Now she's got a woman who should be dead, a client who won't give up their identity, and a debt she’s determined to repay by making sure nobody finishes what she started.

Colette is weeks away from an election she can't lose. Unable to go to the police and suspicious of her own team, the one person who might be able to protect her is the woman who almost ended her life.

Posing as Colette's bodyguard buys Gray time to uncover the threat. It doesn't buy her immunity from falling for the one person she shouldn’t. And Colette, against every instinct telling her not to trust a hitwoman with her life, finds herself trusting Gray with a lot more than that.

But somewhere out there, whoever hired a killer to murder Colette is watching to see if they'll have to try again.
